Information for Buyers
Buying a home is an exciting time, but can also be challenging. Whether a first-time home buyer, right-sizing or just moving to a new neighborhood, the process of purchasing a home is both fun and stressful. There are so many decisions – New home or existing? Which neighborhood? What things do I need to think about in purchasing? How much can I afford? What is the process; what is my next step?
First steps in purchasing a home
To begin, it is important to get pre-qualified for a loan. This will help you know how much you can comfortably afford. We work with great loan partners that can help you through that process, contact us if you would like us to connect you to one. While you do that, we encourage you to begin looking at what is available on the market to begin getting an idea of neighborhoods and areas where you might like to purchase. Ride through the neighborhoods, get a “feel” for them.
We would be happy to set up an automated search for you to help you find a home with the criteria you need. Just let us know what you are looking for in a home and what area you would like to live in. Or you can begin by doing some searching yourself.
Just remember: Browsing the listings is one way to search out the deals and neighborhoods, but weighing the investment potential and which home is right for you can be difficult, and many homes for sale are never listed publicly. We are here to walk along side of you through the process.

Six reasons to buy your home with a REALTOR®
- Get accurate access to all the listings. While Zillow and similar sites are helpful, their information is often not complete or current.
- Know all the facts on properties you're interested in. Not all the information on a property is available on public sites or it is scattered across multiple sites.
- Negotiate with the help of a real estate professional. He or she has the information to know what the "right" price is for a home.
- Finance your home faster. We work with many lenders who can help you through the process.
- Support through all the legal paperwork needed to assure your interests are protected. faster.
- Make a solid investment that pays off down the road.
New homes for sale hit the market daily. As your representative, we'll be in regular contact with sellers and other real estate agents to ensure you see all the newest listings.
Many real estate transactions include an extensive negotiating process, and as your buyer's agent we will be there to represent you and get the best deal possible. We'll also attend property inspections, make sure any and all agreed-on repair work is carried out, and handle all required paperwork related to the sale. We can also help set up the financing and work directly with your attorney and lender to provide you with a seamless service package. And having us by your side doesn't cost you anything, the seller pays our commission, so why would you go it alone or have the agent who is representing the seller handle the transaction for you? (Do I hear conflict of interest?)
Working with a dedicated agent on your next home purchase will save you time and add professional assurance to every step of the process. To get in touch with us today, please contact us.
