Buying a home is an exciting time, but can also be challenging.  Whether a first-time home buyer, right-sizing or just moving to a new neighborhood, the process of purchasing a home is both fun and stressful.  There are so many decisions – New home or existing?  Which neighborhood?  What things do I need to think about in purchasing?  How much can I afford?  What is the process; what is my next step?

First steps in purchasing a home

To begin, it is important to get pre-qualified for a loan.  This will help you know how much you can comfortably afford.  We work with great loan partners that can help you through that process, contact us if you would like us to connect you to one.  While you do that, we encourage you to begin looking at what is available on the market to begin getting an idea of neighborhoods and areas where you might like to purchase.  Ride through the neighborhoods, get a “feel” for them.
